Check off each spot as you go. Your Profile tab shows visited counts by country, a traveller rank, and how much of the Baltics you've covered.
Every place is reviewed before it appears. We don't scrape — we hand-pick the spots locals would actually take you to.
Download a whole city before you travel — locations, history, photos. No roaming, no data anxiety in rural Latvia or coastal Estonia.
GPS + compass guidance to every place, with distance, ETA, and one-tap Google Maps handoff for directions.
Every location has a deep history section and a list of curated facts — written, not algorithmically generated.
Browse the full 800+ catalogue with country filters, sort by most-visited or top-rated, and search by name from the All Places tab.
The Baltic countries are layered with centuries of stories — Hanseatic merchants, Teutonic knights, Soviet borders, restored independence — that you can't see on a map and won't find in a generic guidebook.
Baltic Traveler exists to put those stories back where they belong: in the streets, on the hillforts, and in the squares where they happened. Carefully written history sections sit alongside short fact bites at every location. Offline downloads mean rural Estonia or coastal Latvia work just as well as Vilnius Old Town.
We're a small team of Baltic-region travellers, historians, and developers. Everything in the app is hand-reviewed before it ships.
Yes. Download a city before you travel and everything — locations, history, photos — works without any signal. The only thing that needs internet is the first download itself.
No. Baltic Traveler runs on any iPhone or Android phone from the last 6 years. GPS is the only sensor needed for navigation features.
The app interface is in English. Content (descriptions, history) is being progressively translated; most places now have English entries.
We'd love that — drop us a line at hello@baltic-traveler.com with the spot and why it matters.
