Žvėrinčius – since 1996, a 14.7 ha forest enclosure for forest animals has been established in the Ubiškė girininkija near Laukstėnai village. It belongs to VĮ „Telšių miškų urėdija“. The founder and caretaker of „Žvėrinčius“ is ranger Petras Dabrišius. "Žvėrinčius" is home to tawny owls, lynxes, mouflons, fallow deer, the bear Timofejus, and a 2.4 ha forest plot fenced for wolves. Due to African swine fever, wild boars have not been kept in „Žvėrinčius“ since 2014. For observing wild animals, two observation decks and a gazebo, a lookout point, a playground for children, an oak tree with birdhouses, and a stand with descriptions of the most common game animals and birds in Lithuania have been set up. It is planned to house wisents in „Žvėrinčius“. At the beginning of 2006, there lived in „Žvėrinčius“ 2 wild boars, 8 fallow deer, 3 wolves, 9 mouflons, 7 lynxes, and a roe deer.
